Some say that customer service is declining, while others say that there is still a need for customer service representatives:

  • Increased demand
    • Customers have higher expectations for customer service due to the rise of e-commerce and the internet. 
  • Projected openings
    • The Occupational Outlook Handbook projects that there will be about 365,300 openings for customer service representatives each year over the decade. These openings are expected to be due to workers leaving the labor force or transferring to other occupations. 
  • Future of customer service
    • Salesforce says that the future of customer service involves providing a personalized and connected experience, while still focusing on productivity and cost savings. 

 

When the word “Service” is in the name of your business, customer service is not optional nor is it up for debate.  LPS will always provide the highest level of customer service.  Phones?  We answer ours!  Emails?  We respond to ours.  Chats?  We respond and those are highly trained.
