4-Methoxyphenol is a white, waxy solid with a phenolic, caramel odor. Also known as Mequinol and MeHQ, it is soluble in benzene, acetone, and alcohol. It is used as an antioxidant to inhibit the radical polymerization of monomers, a phenol in dermatology, and in dyestuffs. Ungraded products supplied by Spectrum are indicative of a grade suitable for general industrial use or research purposes and typically are not suitable for consumption.

Glycolic Acid, 70 Percent, Technical, is slightly stronger than acetic acid. It is often included into emulsion polymers, solvents and additives for ink and paint in order to improve flow properties and impart gloss. It is used in surface treatment products that increase the coefficient of friction on tile flooring. Glycolic acid is a useful synthetic organic intermediate for oxidation-reduction, esterification and long chain polymerizations.
