The Bellco Benchtop Mini Orbital Shakers are ideal for both rigid polystyrene and flexible polyvinyl 96-well micro tube plates commonly used in cell culture, virology, immunology and serology. They are engineered to operate between the speed range of 50 to 1550 rpm and have a 100 second timer for reproducing mixing times or can be used in continuous operation. The true orbital motion results in increased mixture homogeneity compared with oscillating or vibrating shakers. The Bellco Digital CTII Hi-Torque Overhead Drive is a versatile direct-drive agitator for cell culture and most aseptic mixing applications. The Overhead Drives were developed to eliminate the problem of magnetic agitator decoupling often observed in large volume mixing and the stirring of solutions with a viscosity greater than water.
