1,2,6-Trihydroxyhexane is a stable, high boiling, liquid polyol that is miscible with water and is non-toxic. 1,2,6-TRIHYDROXYHEXANE is used in cosmetic and pharmaceutical cream formulations as a moisturizing agent (humectant).
