Before ordering, check the unit of sale on each listing: the same item is often sold as each, pack or case, at different prices, so compare the quantity per unit rather than the price alone. Confirm sterility, material and grade against your method, for example sterile plasticware for culture work or a specific chemical grade for analysis. For parts and consumables tied to an instrument, such as tubes, plates or filters, check the dimensions and the makes and models they are listed for. Chemicals ship only to business addresses, so have a company name ready at checkout.
Supplies: common questions
Can I buy lab supplies in bulk or at volume pricing?
Yes. Orders can be placed online, and volume and quote pricing is available by request through the Contact Us page. Approved business accounts can pay by purchase order. Many items ship directly from the manufacturer, so lead times vary by item; check with LPS before ordering if timing is critical.
What are centrifugation consumables?
Centrifugation consumables are the disposable items used with a centrifuge, mainly centrifuge tubes in 15 mL and 50 mL sizes, microcentrifuge tubes of 0.5 to 2 mL, centrifuge bottles, and filter tubes for spin filtration. Choose them by volume, rotor or adapter fit, maximum RCF rating, material and sterility. Reusable items such as rotor adapters and tube racks are usually listed with equipment or accessories.
