The tubes are molded from premium grade polystyrene for clarity or polypropylene for impact strength and stability to common acids, alkalies, and solvents. Polystyrene tubes can withstand up to 1500 RPM during centrifugation. Polypropylene tubes can withstand up to 3000 RPM and are autoclavable and freezable. These colorful snap-on closures are an effective way to recap blood drawing tubes, glass test tubes and plastic culture tubes. They are precision molded from low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and maintain a tight seal during centrifugation, agitation and refrigeration procedures.
