It is light, extremely volatile, colorless, flammable liquid with a strong odor. Methanol is highly toxic and it is not safe for human consumption. It is commonly used as an antifreeze, solvent, and a fuel as well as a denaturant for ethanol. Methyl Ethyl Ketone, Exceeds A.C.S. Specifications, HPLC Grade, also known as Butanone is a colorless and liquid organic compound that has a sweet, sharp odor similar to acetone. Soluble in water, it has a range of uses including as an industrial solvent. It also dissolves polystyrene and acts as a welding agent in "model cement". As a solvent it has similar properties as Acetone but has a higher boiling point and does not evaporate as fast as acetone does. Diethanolamine, Reagent, ACS is also referred to as DEA, is an organic compound that in its pure form is a white solid but it is most often encountered as a clear liquid that has a viscous texture. It is a secondary amine and diol and is water soluble. It is used as a corrosion inhibitor and surfactant that is used in the oil refining industry to help remove hydrogen sulfide from sour gas.
